Many people have no idea what the LGBT acronym even stands for yet alone what it means. There is no shame in that! This workshop will provide you with the tools necessary to understand basic terminology about the LGBT community. It will also provide some basic guidelines to help you when working with either students, clients or employees that are a part of the LGBT community. 

So you have some experience with the LGBT community? That's swell! However, there is always more to learn. This presentation will provide you with best practices as well as an opportunity to ask those difficult questions that you may be afraid to say out loud. This workshop will also provide case studies so participants can put what they have learned into practice!

Many people are boggled by transgender people. I will be the first to say that you do not have to feel bad about it. After all, we are all here to learn. This workshop will teach you about what it means to be transgender. How best to work with transgender students, clients or employees and how to make your space more inclusive of transgender people.
